Effect of telemanufacturing on the competitiveness of SMES, automated assembly systems, tolerance analysis, robotics.
One of Dr. Abdel-Malek projects addresses issues of quality manufacturability, while another involves an effort to provide innovative solutions for traditional electromechanical manufactures to improve their productivity. In addition, he is analyzing the effect of telecommuting on traffic patterns. Dr. Abdel-Malek also is examining the state of operations research in practice.
